Bouwmaterialen in plaats van kleurige speelblokken. Zonder restricties liet dit residentie-duo zich leiden door hun kinderfantasiën. ‘P2’ is het product van een vrij en speels maakproces waarbij een speelgoedgarage diende als grootste punt van inspiratie.

Dit werk is het resultaat van een residentieproject waarbij twee kunstenaars die elkaar nog niet kende, uitgedaagd werden samen te werken. Luus maakt werk over onder andere jeugdvakanties op de camping. Lucie maakt installaties waarin ze sculptuur, film en miniatuurcreaties samenbrengt in dromerige fantasiewerelden. Geleid door hun gemeenschappelijke fascinatie voor nostalgie, vond het duo hun inspiratiebron voor dit werk: de parkeergarage waar ze vroeger beiden mee speelden.

This work is the result of a residency project where two artists who did not know each other were challenged to collaborate. Luus creates work about, among other things, childhood vacations at the campsite. Lucie makes installations in which she combines sculpture, film, and miniature creations into dreamy fantasy worlds. Guided by their shared fascination with nostalgia, the duo found their source of inspiration for this work: the parking garage they both used to play with.
