“Lang lang geleden verscheen er een enorm oog naast het kanaal bij de Nijverheid. Waar het vandaan kwam? Niemand weet het. Het oog werd binnen korte tijd een instrument voor blikveldtransformaties. Utrechters uit windrichtingen liepen uit, om de nieuwe wereld die zich in het oog schuilhield te ontdekken”.

Ellipsis is een interdisciplinair collectief dat bestaat uit Aina Roca, Cecilia Berghäll en Elsa van der Linden. Dit collectief zoekt op locatie altijd de magie van verborgen narratieven. Daarna ontwikkelen ze hulpmiddelen om deze uit te lichten en in te kaderen. Hiermee nodigen ze de toeschouwer uit interactie met de locatie aan te gaan.

Where did it come from? That we don’t know. But, it became a catalyst for perceptual transformation. From all over Utrecht people would come to discover the new world existing inside of it.”

Ellipsis is an interdisciplinary collective consisting of Aina Roca, Cecilia Berghäll en Elsa van der Linden. They always work site specific, finding in each location the magic of the hidden narratives and then developing tools to highlight them, by framing them and inviting the spectator into an interaction with the location.
